Serendipity
So, today i woke up and found all my old journals from high school, and after high school.. i mean i graduated in 2004.. holy hell. ugh. and WOW... how my life as turned out to be just what i wanted.. and a little different then what was expected.

every year around my birthday in my journal i would write about what i want or learned about myself. almost like bullet points of what i believe. after reading these i thought i havent done this in 5 years... time to catch up.
*my life has done a complete 360 * my family are my WORLD, i would do anything for them * my little brother is my real best friend * i truly have married the man of my dreams * i DO have a huge heart, i try to look for good in people * im shy... no but really.. * i have high standards * i notice and understand people hate to see you/things change, even if it benefits you *i can get jealous *i can make you laugh *i still believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason *everyone in life will be broken at one point, and that is o.k. *i do make mistakes, still making mistakes, but regret nothing *i get overly excited * i learned your smile can change... looking at yourself with no front teeth changes a lot *i don't trust easily *music is equal to love * i break away from friends *i depend on eric a lot. (big change from being so independent) * im pregnant and already LOVE this child with alllll my heart. * i have priorities in my life and they are ever changing
life has changed from 16 to 25.. but still the Quote i loved then i still LOVE now.
"life is not a series of meaningless accidents or coincidences but rather a tapestry of event that culminate in a exquisite, sublime plan"
in other words, everything happens for a reason. nothing is random. dreams, a relationship not working out, and enemy, the shape of the cloud you happen to be looking at in the sky, a stranger who leaves a lasting impression. anything. there are signs places everywhere. its up to you to know how to recognize them, and decide what to make of it. not to say i believe in pre-destination, because is thats the case.... then whats the point of getting out of bed every morning?? instead, i believe that maybe every choice we make changes our destiny, if that makes any sense.. kind of like the butterfly effect.
Everyone has different opinions. i just get comfort in the notion that there is more to life than just empty randomness. make what you want of it.

Been on a baby room CRAZE! pinterest by far has been the most addicting thing in my life.
Christmas came early..
Our Christmas present came early...
It was the most exhausting week of my life.. thinking that maybe moving into our NEW house.. parents coming to visit within the first 2 weeks of moving.. then Thanksgiving with the BEST mother-in-law in town.. plus working like crazy to get some extra cash for Christmas. Of course i didn't think i was pregnant. Until, the great morning sickness started. Yup, i was one of those people who was in denial that i could actually be pregnant.
Although we were completely shocked at first, we are both BEYOND excited to have a baby & feel so blessed!!
So bring on the ginger ale, crackers, and mmmm oranges are just the best things right now. So i scheduled and initial consultation and first doctors appointment with a new OBGYN. she Confirmed.
First MOST AMAZING THING is we heard the heart beat. It was just as if a train was coming into the room, so fast and just AMAZING! Then the nest day we got to get an ultrasound. SEEING IS JUST BELIEVING!

heart's desire
As far as I’m concerned, Shaw had NO CLUE! 'Cause you know what? Tragedies happen. What're you gonna do, give up? Quit? No. I realize now that when your heart breaks, you gotta fight like hell to make sure you’re still alive. 'Cause you are, and that pain you feel: it's life. The confusion and fear.. that's there to remind you that somewhere out there is something better. And that something is worth fighting for.
This year, I got everything I wanted and everything I wished for.. but, in a way, I lost even more.
BUT...Shaw was right: as we strain to grasp the things we desire, the things we think will make our lives better: money, things, babies..... we ignore what truly matters -- the simple things: like friendship, family, love. The things we probably already had.
So, Mr. Shaw thinks that getting your hearts desire is a tragedy? I say he’s wrong. I mean, clearly, Shaw never met Eric Rivet...
Yeah, losing your heart’s desire is tragic. But gaining your heart’s desire... It’s all you can hope for. This year, I wished for a family. To immerse myself in someone else and to wake a heart long afraid to feel. My wish was granted. And if having that is tragic… then give me tragedy. Because, I wouldn’t give it back for the world...

Knowing is better than Wondering.
A couple of hundred years ago, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world the secret of his success. Never leave that till tomorrow, he said, which you can do today. This is the man who discovered electricity by the way.... You think more people would listen to what he had to say. I don't know why we put things off, but if I had to guess, I'd have to say it has a lot to do with fear. Fear of failure, fear of rejection, fear of knowing, sometimes the fear is just of making a decision, because what if you're wrong? What if you're making a mistake you can't undo? The early bird catches the worm. He who hesitates is lost. We can't pretend we hadn't been told. We've all heard the proverbs, heard the philosophers, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day. Still sometimes we have to see for ourselves. We have to make our own mistakes. We have to learn our own lessons. We have to sweep today's possibility under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore. Until we finally understand for ourselves what Benjamin Franklin really meant. That knowing is better than wondering, that waking is better than sleeping, and even the biggest failure, even the worst, beat the hell out of never trying.
It will happen... it will.
Going through these past couple of days was hard... and to think i wanted to not go to the doctors.. i didnt want to deal with what could be happening to me.. i was too HAPPY! I was sharing my JOY with the rest of the world already.. and to have that taken away.. scared me. Its hit me that i cant wait, it was not fair, to me or eric. I understand that there was nothing i could do, that it was in cards. But i didnt want to deal with it. i didnt want to find out that day.. just push it off. but i really thought abotu it.. and read that qoute from Mr. Franklin and it hit me. That knowing is better then wondering.
